What’s UPSTAGE?

It’s all the rage.

UPSTAGE is a theatre group comprised of a motley crew of teenagers or as i prefer to say, *cough* Young Adults, who are completely engrossed and devoted to the theatre scene in Singapore. Founded in 2006, Upstage is completely youth run, intiated and aims to encourage and develop an interest in theatre.

Alienated by both television and film though inspiring the two, theatre has lost its mainstream appeal. But UPSTAGE plans to change all that.

UPSTAGE stages plays which are accessible to the public so don’t let theatre intimidate you. Come watch our latest play! or even be part of it! Let theatre be part of your life! Because they say Art imitates life! and errm, Theatre is art!

Got a bit carried away didn’t I? *sheepish grin*

Handling everything from acting to set construction and the inevitable administration, UPSTAGE welcomes you to join us. Above all, we aim to provide a comfortable and VERY enjoyable working environment. Though environmental concerns, are the least of our numerous worries (Its an inconvenient truth i suppose). Whips, verbal abuse, ball and chain aside, we sincerely do hope you support our endeavour.
